When it comes to sports wagering events in this country, the Super Bowl is Secretariat coming down the home stretch and everything else is a mule stumbling around the first turn.

A big reason for that: options.

Even if you know nothing about football and/or have no rooting interest in the game, you can find something on the Super Bowl wagering menu that surely will add intrigue to your viewing experience.

These have come to be known as novelty bets. Some of these prop wagers offer long-shot prices, giving bettors the chance to risk a little to win a lot (albeit on an unlikely outcome).

However, many Super Bowl novelty props are toss-up bets that are difficult to handicap because the outcomes are rather random by nature.

With the latter in mind, here are 10 of the more than 150 novelty props that Caesars Sportsbook currently has posted for Super Bowl 57 between the Eagles and Chiefs.

Odds updated as of 7 p.m. ET on Feb. 2.

Which team will score the first points?

Odds: Chiefs -105/Eagles -115

Noteworthy: The Eagles have scored first in 14 of their 19 games. Recently, Philadelphia has scored first in eight of its last nine overall, including seven straight games that quarterback Jalen Hurts has started and both playoff contests.

Kansas City has put points on the board first in 12 of 19 games, including 10 of the past 12 and the last five in a row.

Which team will be the first to gain 20 or more yards on a play from scrimmage?

Odds: Chiefs -105/Eagles -115

Noteworthy: Philadelphia led the NFL with 90 plays of 20-plus yards this season (63 rushing, 17 passing), and has added four more in the postseason. The Chiefs ranked second with 83 regular-season plays that gained at least 20 yards (73 passing, 10 rushing). They’ve tacked on three more in two playoff games.
