A new disease is killing Philly's beech trees. This treatment could save some of them

Dhan Parker, an environmental scientist with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, is on a mission to save as many of Philly's beech trees as he can. Thousands are currently under siege, succumbing to a relatively new and dreaded beech leaf disease first found in Philly in 2022. “This is an extinction-level event,” said Parker. “It’s inevitable that these worms will find their way to every beech tree here in the city.”
