Jalen Hurts’ mom takes to TikTok, urging followers to ‘be grateful’
Additionally, Hurts' coach at Alabama, Nick Saban, said he reached out following the quarterback's blood clot diagnoses.

On Monday, the Eagles and Jalen Hurts’ agent Nicole Lynn announced that medical testing had revealed that Hurts had multiple blood clots in his lungs. The announcement came days after the quarterback was put on injured reserve for a superficial clot in his calf.
Hurts will go on blood thinners and is expected to make a full recovery, according to the statement. He is out indefinitely and could miss the remainder of the season.

Hurts’ mother, Pamela Hurts, posted a video on TikTok late Monday night, seemingly addressing the scary situation.
“Just a reminder y’all — be grateful,” Pamela said in the video. “Be grateful for where you are and what you have, because your life could change at a blink of an eye. Be grateful. What are you grateful for?”
Pamela Hurts is not the only person in Jalen Hurts’ life who has commented on his condition. Nick Saban, who coached Hurts at Alabama from 2016 to 2018, told reporters at the Monday Morning Quarterback Club in Birmingham, Ala., that he reached out to his former quarterback.
“I texted him,” Saban said. “He sent Miss Terry [Saban’s wife] the prettiest flowers when we had our documentary, whatever you call that. He’s such a first class guy and we thanked him for all the support and told him our thoughts and prayers are with him for a speedy recovery.”
On Tuesday, multiple outlets reported that the NFL would not punish the Eagles for clearing Hurts to play against the Jaguars in Week 5 despite the quarterback having a blood clot in his calf. The league has concluded that the situation was “handled appropriately.”
