The Big Picture
Philly is Flyer’d up for playoff hockey. The Sixers bounced back in Boston to even their series. These are the best Philly sports photos of the week.

Each Friday, Inquirer photo editors pick the best sports images from the last seven days. And it was a pretty good week for Philly sports — well, at least for two of the teams.
The Flyers jumped out to a 3-0 series lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins, capped off by Wednesday’s physical 5-2 win in South Philly, the first playoff hockey game in the city in eight years. The Sixers, meanwhile, bounced back from a poor performance in Game 1 to even their first-round series against the Boston Celtics thanks to a combined 59 points from their young backcourt of Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe — a victory Edgecombe sealed with a wink.
As for the Phillies, well, there hasn’t been much positive since the last time we checked on them. Their losing streak has grown to nine games, Taijuan Walker has been released, J.T. Realmuto hit the injured list, and they’ve fallen further behind the Atlanta Braves, whom they face this weekend. But, hey, at least Zack Wheeler returns to the mound Saturday.
