Restaurant Details
Southwark
It was a tall order, taking over the handsome Queen Village bar-restaurant credited with leading the city’s cocktail revival, but husband and wife duo Marina de Oliveira and chef Chris D'Ambro have by all accounts passed the test with flying colors over the past decade. In addition to its classy, eye-catching cocktails — with names like “Lawyers, Guns & Money,” “House Of Jealous Lovers,” and “Mariah Carey Can't Dance” — Southwark continues to impress with its appetizers, entrees and desserts. If you’re feeling grounded, consider the double cheeseburger topped with locally sourced blue cheese and bacon and the lasangette primavera featuring dandelion and chicken stuffed morels. Or take flight with the half duck served over risotto, local chestnuts and saffron.
