Tour Tredyffrin's historic grandeur

A former speakeasy, a renovated school building, a Queen Anne residence, and a "rubble stone" dwelling are among the highlights of this Saturday's 7th Annual Historic House Tour, sponsored by the Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust.

A former speakeasy, a renovated school building, a Queen Anne residence, and two  "rubble stone" dwellings are among the highlights of this Saturday's 7th Annual Historic House Tour, sponsored by the nonprofit Tredyrffrin Historic Preservation Trust.

Eight homes and gardens will be featured during the event, which runs from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine. The ticket pickup location will be the Montessori Children's House of Valley Forge, a school that includes Ivy Hollow Farm, a renovated 1750 property located within Valley Forge National Historic Park.

Tickets are $35 and must be purchased in advance, either by credit card at www.tredyffrinhistory.org or by downloading an order form and mailing it to: Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust, P.O.
