Police have identified the man gunned down yesterday oustide a Hunting Park chicken restaurant as Kenneth Woods, 42, of Logan.

Kenneth Woods, 42, of 18th Street near Wagner Avenue, was shot in the chest just after 4 p.m. in the Popeye's Chicken parking lot at Broad and Hunting Park, said Officer Rafeeq Strickland, a police spokesman. He died at Temple University Hospital just after 5:30 p.m., Strickland said.

Police reported no suspects or motive. Investigators were probing a possible drug connection after finding a small plastic bag of pills at the scene, Chief Inspector Scott Small said. Witnesses told police two men in a white Chevrolet sedan shot Woods and then sped away. Tipsters, call homicide detectives at (215) 686-3334 or -3335.
