This morning, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski kicked off DNC week broadcasting from MSNBC's Morning Joe at McGillin's Olde Ale House, Philadelphia's oldest continuously operating tavern.

Former DNC chairman and Governor Ed Rendell stopped by for a visit, calling out DNC officials for information revealed in the leaked internal emails that pointed to strategic coordination against Senator Bernie Sanders in the Demcratic primary. Rendell called the emails "the lowest thing in politics." But he added it did not affect the outcome of the race. "They're pretty much ineffectual," Rendell said.

DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz stepped down due to the email flap.

Scarborough took filming his show at a bar very seriously, toasting to Philly at the wee hour of 9 a.m.

Morning Joe will be at McGillin's all week. To celebrate, the tavern has themed specials like the extra spicy take on the bloody mary called Mika Mary and Red, White and Bleu burger.
