Gov. Rendell, in open-mike gaffe, says his Arizona counterpart has "no life."

CNN captures Gov. Rendell in an open-mike gaffe and is taken to task by commentator Campbell Brown for what she called sexist remarks.

Yesterday, as the nation's governors were meeting with President-elect Obama in Philadelphia, CNN's camera's caught Gov. Rendell in an open-mike gaffe suggesting, in what he believed was a private conversation, that Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano would make a good pick for Homeland Security Chief because she has "no life."

"Janet's perfect for that job, because for that job you have to have no life. Janet has no family," Rendell said. "Perfect. She can devote, literally, 19-20 hours a day to it."

CNN Commentator Campbell Brown took him to task for what she said were comments that smack of sexism. The remarks, Brown said, "perpetuate stereotypes that put (women) in boxes."
