DNC Chairman Next Week in Big Penn speech

Democratic National Chairman Tim Kaine to make major address in Philadelphia next week outlining party's case for the midterms.

Democratic National Chairman Tim Kaine, the former governor of Virginia, is planning a major address Wednesday at Houston Hall at the University of Pennsylvania to frame the fall midterm elections, aiming to paint "the starkest contrast...yet" of what life would be like were the Republicans to regain power, according to DNC sources.

Kaine will be joined by Gov. Rendell to discuss the campaign with students, labor leaders and Democratic activists. Expect Social Security (and GOP threats to same) to be broached.
