On President Obama's schedule today:
Make a personnel announcement (new secretary of defense?).
Meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan to discuss combatting the terrorist group ISIL and how to address the Syrian refugee crisis.
Meet with Gov.-elect Tom Wolf.
Not too shabby for someone who only a little over a month ago was just a successful businessman from York County.
And business - the economy - will be the focusof the afternoon meeting says the White House, which invited Wolf and newly-elected governors from six other states (Alaska, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts. Rhode Island and Texas).
Wolf and incoming Rhode Island governor Gina Raimondo, the only Democrats in the group, will join the other governors, Vice President Joe Biden and the president to discuss ways the administration can work with states to "promote economic opportunity for middle-class Americans," the White House said in a statement.
"The President and the incoming governors will discuss how we can build on our growing economy by creating more jobs and ensuring that every American who works hard has an opportunity to succeed."
Wolf takes office on January 20.
