A wanted Lancaster County man's luck ran out when he crossed paths with a black cat while trying to hide from police.

Jonathan Michael Steffy, 23 of Ephrata, was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay costs and restitution in a burglary and possession of controlled substance charges when he fled from police, according to PennLive.

While searching for Steffy, one officer noticed a cat crouched and intently watching something near a shed in a nearby backyard. The officer checked the shed but didn't find Steffy. When he looked again, the cat had zeroed in on another shed. It contained the wanted man, who was then arrested without incident, according to the story.
