An Old City live-music venue is being evicted for failure to pay off its debts, according to court documents.
Soundgarden Hall, which has been hosting electronic dance-music shows at 520 N. Columbus Blvd. near Spring Garden Streets since 2012, owes approximately $35,104.07, according to court documents.
The attorney listed for Soundgarden's corporate entity, Leverage WF, was not immediately available for comment.
An employee who answered a phone number listed for the hall said he had "no information" on the hall closing, and said he could not confirm the venue is locked out of the building.
"It's usually not open during the week," he said before hanging up.
On the venue's Twitter account, a message posted yesterday gave no hint of troubles.
The venue's website, however, says the show has been moved to District N9NE, a nightclub and concert venue at 460 N. 9th St.
Shows on June 25 and July 2 are also listed at new new venues; however, four other July shows, as well as shows in August and October, are still listed for Soundgarden Hall.
