Chima: Is the Brazilian steak house staying or going?

If you ask Chima management, the all-you-can-eat churrascaria isn't going anywhere after eight-plus years.

A real estate flyer making the rounds offers the space currently occupied by Chima, the Brazilian steak house on the ground floor of the Kennedy House, at the 20th Street and JFK Boulevard corner.

But if you ask Chima management, the all-you-can-eat churrascaria isn't going anywhere after eight-plus years. In fact, says manager Anthony Torcivia, "we're doing a full remodel," including a revamping of the bar and VIP section.

What gives? A lease renewal, which is being negotiated. Word is that Chima wants a rate cut.

Real estate brokers have been told that the space - about 23,400 square feet - could be made available as soon as February if no deal is struck.
