HipCityVeg's Marquis opening Rittenhouse taqueria

Fresh off her opening of the Midtown Village bar Charlie was a sinner., entrepreneur Nicole Marquis appears to be expanding her holdings further with a vegan taqueria only two doors away from her Rittenhouse Square fast-fooder HipCityVeg.

Ay-ay-ay-ay-ayyyy.

Fresh off her spring opening of the Midtown Village bar Charlie was a sinner., vegan entrepreneur Nicole Marquis appears to be expanding her holdings further with what I hear is a vegan taqueria only two doors from her Rittenhouse Square fast-fooder HipCityVeg.

The address is 133 S. 18th St., the former short-lived Crumbs Bake Shop at 18th and Moravian. It's across the alley from a.kitchen.

Marquis Latin Philly LLC, the corporate name on an application for a liquor license posted in the window, lists HCV's address in business records filed recently in Harrisburg.

Also, real estate mogul Allan Domb, Marquis' landlord at Charlie was a sinner., owns the 18th Street property.

Marquis offered no comment in a text reply Saturday, so it's not known when to expect the margaritas to be flowing.

(See the lay of the land here.)

It's almost impossible to fathom that Marquis has been a restaurateur for only about 2½ years, when she rolled out HipCityVeg. She opened a University City branch in October 2013, and unlocked the doors of Charlie was a sinner. in May 2014.
