Police: Naked man armed with knife barricaded in East Oak Lane
A naked man armed with a knife barricaded himself inside an apartment on North 12th Street in East Oak Lane, police said.
Police responded to an East Oak Lane home Sunday afternoon after a naked man armed with a knife allegedly barricaded himself inside.
The man, believed to be between the ages of 50 and 55, shut himself inside an apartment on the 6600 block of North 12th Street around 3:30 p.m., police said.
It wasn't immediately clear what prompted the confrontation. Authorities declared the incident a barricade shortly before 4 p.m.
A staging area was set up at 12th Street and 66th Avenue as police continued to assess the situation.
