Man charged in fatal S. Jersey crash

A Tabernacle man has been charged with vehicular homicide in a May crash that left an Evesham man dead, officials said Tuesday.

The charges were filed against Thomas Thorn Jr., 22, after authorities received toxicology test results on Friday.

Thorn earlier was charged with driving while suspended and causing an accident resulting in death.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said Thorn was traveling west on Route 70 in Evesham and disregarded a traffic signal shortly after midnight on May 24.

He collided with Shawn English, 19, an Evesham resident, who was traveling north on Maple Avenue and crossing Route 70, officials said. English was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
