Son finds mother, 44, slain in Point Breeze

A 44-year-old woman was found stabbed to death Friday night in the Point Breeze section of South Philadelphia, police said.

About 9:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Reed Street, the woman's 21-year-old son found her with multiple stab wounds to the torso, police said. Medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
