Elderly woman found dead outside her Bucks County home after winter storm

The region's deep freeze may have contributed to the death of an elderly woman whose body was found outside the back door of her Bucks County home Tuesday morning, police said.

The woman, whose name was not released, was naked, Clark said, and inside, the shower was running. It appeared the woman had opened the door, perhaps to let out steam from the shower, fell, and died, Clark said. There were no signs of foul play.

The woman lived alone and it was unclear how long her body had been there, Clark said. A neighbor called police after noticing the body.
