Eagles release safety Couplin, receiver Martino

The Eagles released safety Jerome Couplin and wide receiver Freddie Martino on Monday.

Couplin, 24, was signed by the Eagles off the Detroit Lions' practice squad in December 2014. He made eight appearances last year before he suffered a shoulder injury in November and landed on injured reserve.

Martino, 24, appeared in one game in 2014 with the Atlanta Falcons. He signed with the Eagles in August 2015 and was on the practice squad.
