Les Bowen: Eagles vs. Browns: The pick

ARE THE Eagles capable of wadding up and throwing away everything they've achieved these past 2 weeks? Oh, yeah. There's no reason to really think they will, though, against a team that's down to its third quarterback, a team that has a terrible time scoring. As long as Donovan McNabb doesn't start throwing picks again - the Browns' 19 interceptions and 26 takeaways

ARE THE Eagles capable of wadding up and throwing away everything they've achieved these past 2 weeks?

Oh, yeah.

There's no reason to really think they will, though, against a team that's down to its third quarterback, a team that has a terrible time scoring. As long as Donovan McNabb doesn't start throwing picks again - the Browns' 19 interceptions and 26 takeaways tied them for second in the league in both categories going into the weekend - the Birds ought to be able to keep their playoff hopes alive. Just let Brian Westbrook and Correll Buckhalter do the work, against the rush defense that entered the weekend ranked 28th.

Last week tested the Eagles' skill level, against the defending Super Bowl champs. This week will test their ability to maintain focus, to show they really believe they can still make the playoffs.

Prediction:

Eagles 27, Browns 12. *
