His massive building looms high over Rittenhouse Square, and his 14th-floor unit “gets lots of sun.” Okan Tutunculer said the staff “is always smiling when you come in.”

“Security is very important to me. Here I feel safe,” he said.

Tutunculer, a native of Turkey, moved to the United States five years ago for better job opportunities and later bought the 509-square-foot condo in the Parc Rittenhouse building for $295,000, partly because it was close to his work with airlines.

He will be moving to Delaware for family reasons and plans to work as an assistant server with a high-end restaurant.

The one-bedroom, air-conditioned unit has an open floor plan with an in-unit washer/dryer, closets, and tiled bath with tub and shower. The living room leads to the bedroom through an arch.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, disposal, gas stove, and microwave.

Tutunculer said he was particularly attracted to the building’s amenities.

These include a fitness center, outdoor pool, kids pool and hot tub with skyline views, meeting rooms, large lobby with a TV, and front desk with 24-hour concierge and valet parking. The lobby overlooks Rittenhouse Square.

The building is easily accessible to restaurants including Parc, Rouge, and La Colombe, as well as the Walnut Street Theatre, University City hospitals, and the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.

The unit is listed by Pamela Rosser-Thistle of BHHS Fox & Roach at the Harper, Rittenhouse Square for $295,000.
