House of the week: A home and matching studio in a rural Media setting for $674,900
The one-bedroom home is accompanied by a studio in a separate building of the same size.

“I wanted to build something that would last,” said artist Greg Reitze. “My last hurrah, if you will.”
So he bought the Media lot in the woods overlooking a quiet valley. There, working with an architect, he built a home and studio in 2007 as two buildings, each 1,568 square feet.
He studied printmaking and sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and for about 16 years, he designed sets for video production and ran a variety of businesses that included exterior roofing finishes.
But a back injury suffered in 2023 has him preparing to move on.
The house has three fireplaces, radiant heat floors, a three-story great room with a cupola, a wood stove, and gas appliances.
The bedroom is on a loft above the living room, with views of the courtyard and patio, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom with a jetted tub.
The kitchen has a built-in microwave and GE appliances with stainless steel interiors, including twin dishwashers.
The home has a Bosch washer-dryer. It has a garage under the primary bedroom, and there is parking on the property for at least a dozen cars.
The house is in the Rose Tree-Media School District.
Parks in the area include Middletown Township Memorial and Houtman, and a new public library is nearby.
The house and studio are listed by Tony DeCicci at CG Realty for $674,900.
