The 76ers are expected to make some staff announcements this coming week, including the hiring of Drew Jones as player development coach and Lorena Torres Ronda as performance director.

A team source confirmed both moves.

Jones actually lists himself as a Sixers player development coach on his LinkedIn page.

A Penn State graduate, he served as a graduate assistant at the school before joining the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he has worked the last five years. That includes the last two as senior performance analysis and player development coach.

The hiring of Torres Ronda was first reported by Phillyvoice.com. Torres Ronda lists her title on her Twitter bio as performance director of the Sixers.

Before joining the Sixers she had served as sports science, research, and development coordinator for the San Antonio Spurs starting in October 2015. She also remains the head strength and conditioning coach for the Spanish Swimming Federation.

She describes herself as a sport scientist and strength and conditioning coach on her LinkedIn page.

Other hirings could be announced next week, according to a source. Among them, as previously reported, should be that of former All-Star center Roy Hibbert as a player development coach.
