Historic Philly hat factory saved by retiree from Harlem

The Rev. Georgiette Morgan-Thomas takes Amtrak three mornings a week -- usually leaving from New York at 5:30 a.m. -- to her hat factory in Wissinoming. In September, her American Hats LLC will open its first major retail store – in the new Fashion District Philadelphia mall, once known as the Gallery at Market East.
