Philadelphians died by traffic violence at a rate three times greater than New Yorkers from 2019 through 2023. At the recent peak, in 2020, 155 people were killed on Philly streets. While that number has been trending downward, the city has a long way to go. How exactly is Philly working to improve street safety? What specific improvements have been made?
