What I Do
I cover the places and things around Philadelphia that you may not have seen yet, and show you why it's important. I help explain some of the more mundane or hard-to-uncover aspects of being a Philadelphian. Cannabis, invasive insects, and Japanese cheesesteaks also seem to be a trend in my writing.
My Background
Before joining The Inquirer full-time, I was once an intern documenting South Jersey, from local disputes over a proposed ashram to an artist who spent her final months painting others diagnosed with cancer. Earlier than that, I cofounded the nonprofit bilingual newsroom Kensington Voice alongside other passionate journalists, where we built resources around the COVID-19 pandemic, housing crisis, and healthcare — in both English and Spanish.
