Man charged in wife’s murder at Jersey Shore

A 36-year-old Brigantine man is accused of murdering his wife, Atlantic County prosecutors announced Sunday.

Robert Declementi was arrested and charged with first-degree murder after his wife, Rachel, 30, was found dead in their home Saturday with “numerous injuries,” prosecutors said without disclosing details.

Brigantine police received a 911 call at 4:27 a.m. Saturday and responded to the couple’s home on Girard Place.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
