In South Jersey, a police standoff ended with a man fatally shot
The New Jersey Attorney General's office is investigating the fatal shooting.

An hourslong standoff with police at a home in Millville, N.J. Thursday ended with a man fatally shot, the New Jersey Attorney General’s office said.
The AG’s office said it is investigating the shooting. It declined to identify who was killed or name the officer involved.
The deadly encounter happened at a white two-story suburban home near Holly Heights Elementary School and a patch of woods, according to video footage and maps of the area.
Police showed up outside the house on Hazel Boulevard around 8 a.m. Thursday, according to TV news reports.
Neighbors described a standoff as police spoke to the man in the house with a loudspeaker, 6abc reported.
News camera footage shows one window of the home was shattered. Police tape wrapped the property. A New Jersey State Police crime scene investigation unit van was parked outside.
