Pottstown man sexually assaulted women — including a 90-year-old — during break-ins, authorities say
Derelle Williams, 37, broke into two Montgomery County homes last week and physically and sexually assaulted women he encountered inside.

A Pottstown man committed two overnight burglaries involving physical and sexual assaults last week, including an attack on a senior citizen, prosecutors said Thursday.
Derelle Williams, 37, was charged with burglary, robbery, aggravated assault, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, and related crimes.
Prosecutors said he broke into a Lower Pottsgrove home overnight on April 23 and assaulted a 90-year-old woman who is blind.
Williams encountered the woman in her bedroom and attempted to choke and sexually assault her, prosecutors said. She suffered injuries including bleeding in her brain, a broken nose, and extensive bruising to her face.
Williams stole a video game console, controllers, and games from the home, according to prosecutors.
Also on April 23, Pottstown police responded to a home invasion on Walnut Street. Prosecutors say Williams broke into the home wielding a firearm and wearing a face mask and gloves.
The homeowner awakened to find Williams standing over her, and he sexually assaulted her, prosecutors said.
Investigators identified Williams through surveillance video that showed the white Chevrolet Malibu he was known to drive. They searched the vehicle and found clothing worn at the scene of the Pottstown assault and later recovered the gaming console from his home, prosecutors said.
Williams is being held in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $5 million bail.
He is expected to appear in court next week, prosecutors said.
