Friday’s South Jersey Roundup: Haddonfield’s McKenzie Blake scores 6 goals, Bulldawgs beat Seneca girls’ lacrosse

McKenzie Blake scored a team-high six goals as Haddonfield beat Seneca, 17-11, on Friday in a non-league girls’ lacrosse matchup. The Bulldawgs outscored Seneca in both halves and led 9-4 at halftime. Gabi Connor scored five goals for Haddonfield, and Caroline Beckett had a hat trick. Seneca’s Cassidy Spilis led all scorers with eight goals.
Baseball
Highland scored six runs in the second inning to beat Bishop Ireton (Va.), 10-4, at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Adam Aquilino went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Tartans. Brian Cooey also had two RBIs. Dylan Maria hit a double, and Tyler Mulligan hit a triple.

Bryce Mangene drove in all three of Rancocas Valley’s runs in its 3-1 win over Cherryville (N.C.) at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida. Mangene went 2-for-4 with a double. Elijah Dickerson went 4-for-4 with a triple and scored twice. Winning pitcher Luis Flores struck out eight in his complete game. He allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks.
