Jordan Matthews is getting married to a fellow Vanderbilt grad and sports star Cheyna Williams, the Eagles wide receiver announced Wednesday  via social media.

Matthews, 24, revealed his engagement with a selfie of him and his soccer-playing bride-to-be, Washington Spirit striker Williams, 23:

Williams also posted her own message about the engagement to her private Instagram account, writing that she is "excited to continue growing and serving with [Matthews] leading the way." The accompanying photo also shows off her new rock:

Word about Matthews' engagement to Williams has been going around since last week, when the soccer star posted a photo of a billboard featuring images of the two during their time at Vanderbilt, CSN points out. The billboard was a congratulations on the pair's engagement:

Matthews counts himself among several young Philadelphia sports stars to take up matrimony as of late. In addition to Matthews, teammate Connor Barwin, Flyers all-star Wayne Simmonds, and Flyers captain Claude Giroux were all recently engaged.
