He can't stop gushing over his newborn daughter - and we understand why!
Jimmy Fallon told Savannah Guthrie in an extended Today show interview that aired Tuesday that his 3-week-old daughter Winnie Rose was named after Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire - also the spot where he vacationed every summer with his wife, Nancy, and proposed to her.
"You don't want a name that's been done, but then you don't want something so weird people are like, 'What?' Winnipesaukee's a little long," he said in his interview.
The 38-year-old dad cited other reasons for why the name "Winnie" is a great fit for his daughter: "Winnie from 'The Wonder Years' is the coolest girl in any TV show ever. And also, she's a 'win' for us."
"We tried for a long time... five years," Fallon added. "I know people have tried much longer but if anyone out there is trying and losing hope, just hang in there. Try every avenue, try anything you can do. You'll get there. You'll end up with a family."
He added, "It is the most-worth-it thing. I'm just so happy right now, I'm freaking out!"
