Meanwhile, I was fascinated by a report about Dutch artist Bart Jansen, who posthumously transformed his pet feline, Orville, into the world's first catcopter.

It's macabre. Orville got run over by a car. After mourning the loss, Jansen took him to a taxidermist, then later added working propellers to his paws.

"Soon to be flying with the birds. Oh how he loved birds," Jansen wrote to introduce a YouTube video of the catcopter's maiden voyage in March.
