Vice president Joe Biden will take part in the pregame ceremonies before Sunday's Eagles-Browns game at Lincoln Financial Field, as the National Football League and the nation observe the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
A White House official told the Los Angeles Times that Biden will be on the sidelines for the national anthem and a tribute to victims of the attacks. He will be joined by some 120 police officers, firefighters and emergency responders.
Biden is a renowned Eagles fan who has attended many major sporting events in Philadelphia during his time as vice president. It's not known yet whether he'll be on the field in any team gear.
The Eagles will announce details about security plans later Friday.
