CLEARWATER, Fla. — Skylar Hunter, a righthanded pitcher in the Phillies' minor-league system, was suspended 50 games on Wednesday by Major League Baseball for a second positive drug test.

Hunter, 22, pitched in 22 games for single-A Williamsport last season. He had a 3.48 ERA as a reliever.

The Phillies drafted Hunter in the 12th round of the 2015 draft out of The Citadel. His suspension will start at the beginning of the minor-league season.
