And still more new restaurants

New occupants are taking over where three eateries left off.

New occupants are taking over where three eateries left off.

Here is some preliminary data:

  1. NoVi -- that means "NOrth of VIne," see -- will be an Italian-influenced international restaurant with bar opening where The Tiedhouse was, at CityView Condos (2001 Hamilton St.). Opening is aimed at Aug. 1.

  2. Augusto Jalon, chef-owner of Augusto's (arguably Warminster's finest restaurant -- though that's not intended as faint praise), is going into the former Stefano's on Huntingdon Pike in Huntingdon Valley with his second restaurant. Italian cuisine, "but not necessarily veal parm and chicken parm," he says. He has not decided on a name.

  3. On Monday (7/27), sushi chef Jason Wirianto will open Sakana Sushi Cafe in the second-floor space at 1526 Sansom St. that last housed Kami Sushi Express.
