Comcast Corp. is just over a year away from moving its first workers into the new Center City tower being built for the entertainment-and-technology company by developer Liberty Property Trust.

The first employees will begin occupying the 60-story Comcast Innovation and Technology Center near the end of 2017, John Gattuso, Liberty's regional director, said in a recent interview.

The remaining workers, making up the bulk of the tower's occupants, will arrive in 2018 when the building is scheduled to be fully complete, Gattuso said.

The new tower, at 1800 Arch St., will have 44 floors of office space, mostly for Comcast's media and technology operations, a Four Seasons hotel of more than 200 rooms, and restaurants on its top and ground floors.
