The island has something for the party animal in everyone, including nightly happy hours (and two in the morning), trivia games and karaoke.
Quizzo
Those looking to impress their friends with their knowledge of useless information will find Quizzo somewhere on the island four nights a week:
_ Monday: Woody's Corner, 102 E. 18th Ave.
_ Tuesday: Owen's Pub, 119 E. 17th Ave.
_ Wednesday: Quizzo on both ends of the island, at Westy's Irish Pub, 101 E. Walnut Ave., and at the Wharf, 708 W. Burk Ave.
_ Sunday: Kelly's Cafe, 4400 Atlantic Ave.
Karaoke
_ Tuesday: Boardwalk Bar and Grill, 3500 Atlantic Ave. Home of the Tramcar, a frozen drink with 11 liquors that is similar to a strawberry daquiri, we're told.
_ Thursday: Bolero Resort, 3320 Atlantic Ave. Karaoke with half-price martinis!
Looking for a cold drink on the water?
_ The Oceanic, 600 Ocean Ave. Offers a swim-up tiki bar with live entertainment.
_ Sunset Bay, 400 W. Spruce Ave. Offering daily drink specials and the ambiance of a tropical island.
_ Urie's, 588 West Rio Grande Ave. Watch the sunset from one of Wildwood's oldest waterfront establishments.
Happy hour
Just about every hour is happy hour in the Wildwoods. These bars offer the total package: good prices, good entertainment and an atmosphere that makes you forget you have work on Monday.
_ Flip-Flopz, Spruce and Olde New Jersey avenues. This two-story beachfront bar and restaurant has indoor seating, an outdoor tiki bar and a swimming pool on the roof. Happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday includes drink specials and half-priced appetizers.
_ Casey's, 3rd and New York avenues. Margarita Mondays from 6 p.m. to close.
_ Juan Pablo's, 3801 Pacific Ave. Happy hour daily from 4 to 6 p.m.
_ Keenan's Irish Pub, 113 Olde New Jersey Ave. Featuring No Shower Happy Hour from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays. Go direct from the beach to the bar. The earliest happy hour we found.
_ Goodnight Irene's, 2708 Pacific Ave. With 36 beers on tap, need we say more? Happy hour from 5-7 p.m. every weekday with half-priced appetizers.
_ #1 Tavern, 1st and Atlantic avenues. Home of the Super Tully Nut, a drink with a top-secret recipe involving five liquors. After one Tully Nut, you might want to start writing things down so you will remember them in the morning. Serving $3 mixed drinks and 24-oz. draft beers, also $3, Tuesday through Saturday from 4-7 p.m.
_ Tony's Island Cafe, 2505 Delaware Ave. Happy hour from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday.
_ Dogtooth Bar and Grill, 100 East Taylor Ave. Baja Wednesdays with $4 margaritas and $9 Coronita buckets; $6 cheese nachos after 6 p.m.
Late-night snacks
After the lights come on in the bars, most folks head to a Wawa. If you get there and the line is too long or people are starting to argue over hoagies, these are some alternatives:
