Inspections of food establishments are posted for much of the region.
Inspection reports are posted for much of the region. There may be a waiting period after the latest visit, and followup inspections to confirm violations were fixed are not always included.
NEW JERSEY
Most retail operations (including restaurants, hospital kitchens and school cafeterias) are inspected locally:
Burlington County: One-line inspection status listed on pdf by municipality.
Camden County: Searchable database with actual inspection reports.
Gloucester County: Searchable database with one-line inspection status.
The New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services inspects wholesalers and certain other food establishments but does not post results.
PENNSYLVANIA
Most retail operations (including restaurants, hospital kitchens and school cafeterias) are inspected by county health departments in much of Southeastern Pennsylvania:
Philadelphia: Searchable database with full inspection reports.
Bucks County: Searchable database with full inspection reports.
Chester County: Highlights of inspection reports listed on pdfs alphabetically and by municipality.
Montgomery County: Searchable database with full inspection reports.
Delaware County: Most municipalities conduct their own inspections but do not post them. Exceptions: The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture either inspects or maintains local inspection reports in a searchable database (put "Delaware" in county field) for Bethel Twp., Chadds Ford Twp., Chester Twp., Chester Heights Boro, Concord Twp., Darby Boro, Edgmont Twp., Newtown Square Twp., Springfield Twp., Thornbury Twp. and Upper Providence Twp.
The state agriculture department inspects and maintains a searchable database with full reports on wholesale and certain other establishments (including ice cream vendors) in every county, regardless of local inspections of retail locations.
