But how does all of that work on a daily basis, some of you wanted to know. What do I actually wear every day?
Here's the makeup, in order of application, that I wore to work Monday. Sure, it's a lot of product and a lot of steps, but it took me only about 15 minutes, start to finish.
Foundation. I mixed Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Definition Liquid Makeup ($40 at Sephora) with bare Minerals bareSkin Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer ($28 at Sephora) to match my self-tanned skin.
Concealer. My favorite concealer remains tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Concealer ($25 at Ulta).
Powder. I set everything with bare Minerals Tinted Mineral Veil Finishing Powder ($23 at Ulta).
Contour. I used the color Shadowplay from the Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette ($49 at Sephora) to carve out the cheekbones.
Bronzer. The tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess ($30 at Sephora) is a gorgeous, realistic bronzer.
Blush. I tried out Seraphine Botanicals Ginger and Gold Illuminating Blush ($14 at Seraphine Botanicals), which came in my Ipsy bag last month. (Ipsy is a makeup and beauty sample subscription.) First impression: nice.
Highlight. I used the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Opal ($38 at Sephora). Unbelievable shine.
Eye shadow. I used the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette ($49 at Sephora), which not only looks like a candy bar, but smells like one, too.
Eyeliner. I had a little extra time to play, so I broke out the tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Liner ($24 at Sephora), which is applied with a small brush. The extra effort is worth it — you'll be rewarded with the blackest, smoothest liner imaginable.
Mascara. I know I just wrote about great drugstore mascaras, but a girl reserves the right to change her mind. I'm currently layering (and loving) Buxom Lash Mascara ($20 at Sephora) with Urban Decay Perversion Mascara ($23 at Sephora). Lashes for days.
