Local high school seniors win Comcast college scholarships
Ten high-school seniors from Chester County have been honored by Comcast as leaders and achievers, and will each receive a $1,000 college scholarship for their accomplishments.
Comcast's Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program has selected more than 1,700 students from across the country this year to award for their leadership skills and community service, in addition to academic qualifications.
Nominated by their principals in the winter, the scholarship recipients were announced late April. The winners are:

Jacqueline Smith of Oxford Area High School - Attending Penn State University Park
Dian Yu of B. Reed Henderson High School - Attending Harvard College
