High school girls' fight injures 2 officers
Two police officers suffered minor injuries trying to stop a fight among a group of teenage girls outside a Northeast Philadelphia high school Friday afternoon, authorities said. An altercation was reported after class around 3:15 p.m. outside Lincoln High School at 3201 Ryan Ave., authorities said.

Police requested backup because of the unruly crowd, and two officers at the scene suffered injuries that required treatment at a local hospital, said Sgt. Joseph Gindele of Northeast Detectives.
Gindele said six girls were arrested. Fernando Gallard, spokesman for the district, said seven girls were arrested. None of the teens was injured.
Gindele said he did not know what started the fight, which was still under investigation. - Robert Moran
