Minor Leagues: IronPigs shut out; Riversharks win

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Bobby Coello gave up three hits and struck out nine in 61/3 innings as the Pawtucket Red Sox shut out the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 8-0, in an International League game Saturday night.

The PawSox got all the scoring they needed in the first inning when Aaron Bates hit a three-run home run.

WALDORF, Md. - Richie Robnett hit a two-run homer in the second inning for the Riversharks in an Atlantic League shutout of the Blue Crabs.

Lefthander Steve Hammond went 72/3 innings, allowing no runs. He gave up seven hits and two walks while striking out 11, a team record for 2010.

Brian Burgamy doubled in Garrett Guzman in the third for his 51st RBI of the season.
