Not just planting trees: Farmer Jasmine Thompson found community at The Farm at Awbury Arboretum

Jasmine Thompson, a farmer and director of Philly Forests, found community at The Farm at Awbury Arboretum in Germantown. Philly Forests rents two acres on The Farm, growing veggies and tree fruit alongside 15 other agricultural organizations. Thompson says being surrounded by fellow farmers, foragers, and ecologists who lift one another up makes the work possible.
