What I Do

I'm a food writer who covers how trends are reshaping Philadelphia's dynamic food scene, from the growth of Philly's restaurant merch to why venture capital-backed chains can't stop coming to our city. I also cover labor dynamics — and changes to the workplace — within the hospitality industry.

My Background

I spent my first 2.5 years at The Inquirer as a general assignments reporter, covering everything from the 2024 election and pro-Palestinian encampments on college campuses to Philly's dismal dating scene and viral content creators. Before joining The Inquirer, I was Billy Penn's first deputy editor. My work has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Vox, WHYY, Philadelphia magazine, and, most recently, the book "Taylor Swift (Spotlight on a Legend)" from Hearst.

I'm a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I was bad at attending class but great at running the university's arts and culture magazine. I love a novelty beverage, excellent bagels, and exploring Fishtown, where I reside with my orange cat Mango.
