16-year-old injured in Kensington gunbattle
Surveillance video shows the teen, who was hospitalized in stable condition, firing shots at an unseen shooter, police said.

A 16-year-old was shot early Wednesday evening in the city’s Kensington section, and police said surveillance video recorded the teen also firing shots in a gunbattle with an unseen shooter.
Around 5:45 p.m., police responded to the area of Indiana Avenue and D Street and found the teen with gunshot wounds to a leg and a foot, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
The teen was taken by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police found 18 spent shell casings at the scene, Small said.
Surveillance video captured the teen firing shots but not the person who shot the 16-year-old, Small said, adding that the teen will be held by police.
No guns were recovered at the scene, Small said.
