Cops: Woman busts out of Pathmark topless

A woman who was being held for shoplifting at an Upper Darby Pathmark on Saturday busted out of the security office and ran through the store topless after losing her shirt in a fight with guards, according to police.

A woman who was being held for shoplifting at an Upper Darby Pathmark on Saturday busted out of the security office and ran through the store topless after losing her shirt in a fight with guards, according to police.

Around 12:49 p.m., security officers at the Pathmark on 69th Street near Patterson Avenue caught Aishana Clayton, 26, shoplifting a package of Pampers diapers on video, said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.

The guards detained Clayton and led her to a security office in the store, police said. Once there, Clayton began to punch, bite, scratch and kick a 47-year-old female guard in an attempt to escape, Chitwood said.

The guard was able to grab hold of Clayton's shirt but Clayton was able to wiggle her way out of the garment and ran through the store and in to the parking lot topless, police said.

"Her breasts were swinging as she ran to the car," Chitwood said.

Clayton was able to escape and police said they found her vehicle, an older-model Buick, abandoned on Wiltshire Road.

Clayton, who has four prior convictions for retail theft and arrests for aggravated assault and attempted murder on her criminal record, remains on the run, Chitwood said.

Anyone with information on Clayton's whereabouts is urged to call Upper Darby Police at 610-734-7693.
