Gunmen in two separate weekend shootings that left two men dead in Philadelphia remained at large Monday as police released the identities of the victims.

In the first shooting, Rashaun Lewis, 27, was shot in the head and torso on the North Philadelphia block where he lived, on Clearfield Street between Broad and 13th streets Friday night. Lewis was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 11:30 p.m. Police said the motive for the shooting was unknown.

Early the next morning, police were called to 26th Street near York in North Philadelphia around 5:10 a.m. for the report of a person with a gun. There, they found 23-year-old Garrett Turner suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police spokeswoman Officer Jillian Russell. Turner was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:15 a.m.

Police said they did not know what motivated Turner's shooting.

Court records show that both Lewis and Turner had prior arrests on drug charges.
