NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock is breaking down each of the positions in the draft for the Daily News. Today he looks at the inside linebackers:

Alec Ogletree, Georgia (6-3, 242)

40-time: 4.68

225-bench: 20 reps

Vertical Jump: 33.5 inches

Arms: 33 1/2 inches

Round Projections: 1

Mayock: "I've got him No. 1 among the inside linebackers, but hesitantly. I think Manti Te'o and Kevin Minter ultimately are going to be really solid inside 'backers for a lot of years. With Ogletree, you're just betting on the upside.

"I'm scared to death about Ogletree, both for on and off the field issues. When you put the tape on, he has no clue what he's doing. He looks like a safety that somebody plugged inside at inside linebacker. He just runs around.

"He's gong to go in the first round. Some of the Cover-2 teams will love him because he can run down the middle of the field like a safety. If you can train him and he loves the game and he has a work ethic, all of which are question marks right now, the kid can be special.

"But I'm very hesitant about this kid. I recognize his athletic ability. I know he fits today's NFL. But if I was a GM, I'd probably be leaning toward Te'o or Minter because I'm a little more conservative."

Vince Williams, Florida State (6-1, 233)

40-time: 4.71

225-bench: 22

Vertical Jump: NA

Arms: 31 1/2 inches

Round Projection: 3-4

Mayock: "He was a late invite to the Senior Bowl and was a non-combine invite. When you watch the tape, as soon as he steps on the field he just starts coming downhill and hitting people. I like the way this kid plays football. He could go in the third or fourth round."

Michael Mauti, Penn State (6-2, 243)

40-time: NA

225-bench: 28

Vertical Jump: NA

Arms: 33 1/2 inches

Round Projections: 4-5

Mayock: "He's coming off a season-ending knee injury, which has prevented him from working out for teams and has hurt his stock. But he's a good player. He can play inside or WILL. Most teams I talked to about him talk about playing him inside. If he went in the fourth or fifth round, that would be real solid for him."
